Trend: Logo Sweatshirts

Our love for comfortable fashion continues this season with an influx of street and sportswear styling, and so it's no surprise to see logo sweatshirts spilling over from the catwalk to the street.  From designers to the high street, it seems everyone has something to get off their chest... We haven't seen this much typography since the logo-tastic eighties!

On the catwalk, designers such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Alexander Wang, Christopher Kane and Sister by Sibling all seemed to have their noses in books, sending powerful word messages out in the form of fashion.

I'm a big fan of the logo sweatshirt - they come in loads of colours, they're comfy and easy to wear, and they always get a conversation going! By logo I mean typography - some kind of words or message as opposed to emblazoned with logos...though I'll happily make an exception for a Kenzo or Givenchy sweatshirt!

How to wear? I say let the sweatshirt do the talking - keep the rest of your look pared back but not dressed down, whatever you do don't team your sweatshirt with your your old tracksuit bottoms! Channel sportswear luxe - and let your logo sweatshirt be the sportswear star.  Wear with printed pencil skirts, slouchy leather trousers, full skirts and statement necklaces. I've pulled some images below from Pinterest:

Navy logo sweatshirt, leather cropped trousers,
statement necklace, faux fur clutch, patent courts
Grey marl logo sweatshirt, black blazer, leopard
cross body bag
White logo jumper, grey full
skirt, belt, portfolio clutch,
black courts, statement necklace
Fancy trying this trend? I've rounded up my favourite (and very covetable) logo-laden sweatshirts in the shops right now for you below...
